I’ve read that a cup of black coffee enhances your morning workout. Besides the obvious effects of waking you up, caffeine is alledgedly supposed to free up fatty molecules in the bloodstream that get burned up as you excercise. You burn fat first, then carbs. Or so it’s claimed. I’m pretty much addicted to coffee, so I’m drinking it whether it burns fat or not.
I like a big cup of iced coffee before I run (even in the cold weather) because of the energizing effect it gives me before I step out the door. The only downside is that even if you sweat profusely, you’re gonna’ have to stop and pee within 45 minutes.
